We get most of our reclaimed wood from a local father son business. They salvage wood from heritage homes, bridges, stables and lakes on Vancouver Island. We also get wood from windfall, cut by small saw mills. Wood rescued from disposal comes back to life and beauty, sometimes in small little items or as decorative features.

Fir, maple, spruce and cedar are the main wood sources which are reclaimed. Sometimes we get a hand on more exotic kinds from backyard sales or old boats.

To find the right piece for your project we visit our suppliers or find it in our stock.

We know were the wood was found, so you get not only your new designed and crafted object, you also get the history of the wood to take home into your living space.

The oils we use meet high environmental standards and we discuss with you, which product fits your needs, whether it is for indoors or outdoors, foodsafe or stained a particular colour.

The remaining wood chips and sawdust turn back into compost, mulch for gardens or get taken by a horse farm. Used materials in the crafting process get recycled as much as possible and left over small wood scraps are welcomed by our neighbour who heats his home with it. And some of them turn into interesting sculptures made by our kids.
